Food Bank of Alaska -
The Food Bank of Alaska is dedicated to eliminating hunger in Alaska.
You will assist in the distribution of food as well as in the Great Alaskan Bake Sale. This Apprentice-like program consists of baking under the guidance of a professional pastry chef and then selling your own baked goods to raise funds.

Dare to Care -
Dare to Care is dedicated to ensuring that no child goes hungry.  They facilitate private, corporate and individual funding to provide breakfast and lunch to children in need identified by school personnel. It is estimated that approximately $250,000 is needed to feed over 2000 students for an entire school year.
You will assist Dare to Care in fundraisers such as street fairs, raffles and you may also be active in the actual preparation and distribution of meals.

Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies –
The center fosters responsible interaction with Alaska’s natural surroundings.
Projects include Rain Forest Preservation such as building a trail with boardwalks and a viewing platform.

KIDS’ KITCHEN –
This organization provides food to children from low income families.
You will prepare and serve meals, run a day camp and reading program and provide lots of TLC for kids.

Bean’s Cafe –
Bean's serves as a soup kitchen and day center for those in need.
You will prepare and serve meals while interacting with those served in this warm environment.

A certificate for 80 hours of service & a list of projects accomplished is after the trip.
