Where We Stay
University of Alaska, Anchorage (11 nights):
This convenient location includes the incredible backdrop of snowcapped mountains and comes with excellent campus facilities such as computer labs, fitness center, restaurants and a full service cafeteria. The rooms are quad style with a common living room and the group will have access to a kitchen facility to prepare our packed lunches. UAA also has a special visitor, “Murray the Moose,” who can be seen grazing in the grass on most days.

Seaside Farm in Homer (4 nights):
A favorite of our trip members, this original homestead is run by our very special friend Mossy, aunt of the singer Jewel. The farm is set amongst the breathtaking scenery of Kachemak Bay where you can look out at the sea or up at the mountains. We live in the original farm house which is rustic but includes indoor plumbing, a large kitchen where we cook our scrumptious meals and a living room with television where movies and popcorn are enjoyed. The farm stay also provides the opportunity for trip members to participate in daily farm chores such as bailing hay, feeding the animals, mending fences and picking berries and feeding animals.

Bayview Suites in Seldovia (7 nights):
The ideal lodging for adventurous people, these spacious 1 to 4 bedroom suites are the perfect location for our time in Seldovia. This all suites accommodation is located in the center of town close to our planned activities and community service.

The Hutch Bed and Breakfast (4 nights):
The Hutch Bed and Breakfast provides an excellent central location for our touring portion in Seward. Each room includes a private washroom and television. The Hutch is also a short distance to great restaurants where we will dine and to Resurrection Bay where we will kayak, hike, and visit the Alaska Sea Life Center.
