Our community service learning program places an emphasis on the service AND learning that happens during the experience. Participants are given the opportunity to work, and serve, alongside individuals and organizations in the community. This hands-on interaction is important to better understand what it feels like to be an engaged citizen.

Participants also have the opportunity to process their experience through group discussions and other learning activities. The focus on learning is as important, as volunteers begin to understand more about the social, cultural, and economic issues facing the respective community.

Community service learning encourages participants to engage with their peers in meaningful community work AND intentional dialogue.
